Cervical Cancer Awareness and Symptoms Initiative
The Eve Appeal is working on a new initiative to help
disseminate key facts about cervical cancer to UK
women.
The Cervical Cancer Awareness and Symptoms Initiative (CCASI) is
a collaborative partnership between The Eve Appeal, the Department
of Health and the UCL Health Behaviour Research Centre.
Key areas of work for the partnership are the launch of new
key messages for women from the Department of Health on cervical
cancer; new awareness surveys and generating media coverage and
awareness of key facts through media and other channels, where The
Eve Appeal will lead.
Says Jane Lyons, Director of The Eve Appeal, "We are very
pleased to be working in such a prestigious partnership. It will
help the charity in its key aims of saving lives from
gynaecological cancers."
The new key messages on cervical cancer from the Department of
Health were launched to the media at a briefing on 21 January
2010.
