NEW ‘PROTECTOR GENE’ SWITCHED OFF IN TWO-THIRDS OF OVARIAN CANCERS

A new gene that normally protects against ovarian cancer is switched-off in two-thirds of cases of the disease, reveals a study published in the journal Neoplasia* today (Thursday).

The Eve Appeal today (21st June 2010) published ‘What Women Know – Report on Awareness Levels of Cervical Cancer amongst Women in England”. The report gives findings of the most comprehensive face to face survey ever conducted in England on what women do and do not know about cervical cancer.
