The Eve Appeal congratulates Professor Ian Jacobs

The Eve Appeal would like to congratulate Professor Ian Jacobs, who takes up the role of Dean of Biomedical Sciences at UCL from 1 July 2009.

Professor Jacobs' passion for research to help women who are affected by ovarian cancer is the driving force for the The Eve Appeal and the charity is delighted that his work in this and the wider field of women's health both nationally and globally has gained such recognition.

Professor Jacobs said: "It is a great privilege to take on the role of UCL Dean of Biomedical Sciences and I look forward to working as part of a leadership team to deliver the full potential of UCL's internationally leading biomedical centre.

"The gynaecological cancer research team and the work of the Eve Appeal are a key part of the research effort at UCL and I will continue to lead this important work alongside my role as Dean."
