Signs and Symptoms
Bleeding - The most common symptom of cervical
cancer is bleeding from the vagina whether between periods, after
or during sex or at any time after the post-menopause (when a
woman's periods have stopped).
Vaginal Discharge - Some women also have a
vaginal discharge that smells unpleasant.
Pain - Some may experience discomfort or pain
during sex (dyspareunia).
Many other conditions may be the cause of these symptoms, most
of which are much more common than cervical cancer, but it is
important to consult a GP to rule out a cervical cancer diagnosis.
If you do have cervical cancer, the sooner you are treated, the
more likely you are to be cured.
