Why women should join
Members of The 500 Club will tell you that the greatest benefit
by far is the knowledge that they are doing something positive for
other women. Each member of The 500 Club will agree that this
closer involvement and commitment to the charity, and each other,
is a more fulfilling relationship.
Our members are a diverse group of women who have been affected
by ovarian cancer. Coming from all walks of life including senior
and influential women from the world of arts, business, finance;
and the cosmetic industry; they are unified by their determination
to play an active part in the fight against gynaecological
cancers.
Members commit to donate £500 per year for at least three years.
This regular gift has a special significance because it allows us
to plan for the future, each step of the way, on our journey to
half the death rate of gynaecological cancers.
Membership of the Club also provides the opportunity to meet and
network with senior and influential women with a common purpose at
social and fundraising events. A members-only event is held
annually and Club members have first refusal on tickets to any of
The Eve Appeal events held throughout the year. Members also have
the option to invite their networks.
For a donation of £500 every year, members will:
- be invited to an annual The 500 Club reception - recent events
include a lunch at London's Le Gavroche and a reception at 11
Downing Street hosted by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair
Darling, and his wife
- be invited to a programme of other special events and
networking opportunities, including our annual Summer Celebration
at The House of Lords
- receive a quarterly newsletter about our work
- be invited to arrange a tour of the research laboratories and
meet with the research teams
