Cause-related Marketing
Consumers are increasingly aware of a company's ethical
'credentials'. In these strained times when purchasing decisions
are not made lightly, a company's reputation may be the critical
factor.
According to a survey commissioned by Business in the Community,
when price and quality are equal, 86 per cent of consumers are more
likely to choose a product or service associated with a cause; 75
per cent said they had either switched brand, tried a new brand or
bought more; 80 per cent felt increased loyalty to the brand and
were more positive about their purchase.
