In the UK, ovarian cancer is the most common and fatal of the gynaecological cancers. Which is why ovarian cancer is currently our most urgent focus.
Known as the silent killer, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed too late for effective treatment claiming the lives of 5000 out of the 7000 women who are diagnosed with the disease each year in the UK.
The research that we fund aims to develop techniques capable of reducing mortality from ovarian cancer by 50% within 5 years.
